I am a bit younger than you are but I am the same way. I have loved Batman since I was a kid. I don't know how much of an exaggeration this is buttt... I probably think about Batman everyday now. I am not a dork either, I just think philanthropist superheros with billions of dollars are amazing! Batman is a unique character with no 'real' super powers. I heard this movie is really supposed to be realistic and not have a lot of computer animated, CGI, 'super-scenes'. I have always liked Christian Bale, top three actors. When Batman Begins came out I was stoked, I loved it. I have been waiting everyday since then to see this movie. I will be eager as well to pay my $9 to see this movie, at least twice.

This may be too easy, but I am going to say long distance communication. Being as I moved when I was 15 across the country and left friends behind, the only method of cheap communication was letters. Phone calls were upwards of 25 cents a minute and the internet was in it's infancy. Had there been facebook or MySpace back then, I could have kept in touch more frequently. Though I was quite the penpal for many years.

How inspiring Randy Pausch is! If you liked "The Last Lecture", another fantastic memoir I just read and highly recommend is "My Stroke of Insight" by Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor. Her TEDTalk video (ted.com) has been seen as many times as The Last Lecture I think, and Oprah did 4 shows on her book, so there are a lot of similarities. In My Stroke of Insight, there's a happy ending though. It's an incredible story! I hear they're making it into a movie.

My friend got a hold of me yesterday and told me to be careful driving around. I was very confused. St. Paul (at least my neighborhood) stayed beautiful all day, we missed every last bit of the storm.
